Upload Excel File

.xlsx or .xls

Convert Microsoft Excel spreadsheets into clear, easy-to-read PDF reports. Whether you have financial statements, invoices, or data logs, our tool transforms your cells and rows into a professional, printable document.

What is Excel to PDF?

Excel to PDF is a conversion utility that changes editable spreadsheet formats (.xlsx, .xls) into a static Portable Document Format (PDF). It captures the data grid, formulas values, and formatting of your spreadsheet and "freezes" it, ensuring the numbers cannot be accidentally changed by the viewer.

How the Conversion Works

Our tool parses your Excel file's XML structure to read cell values and styles. It then renders this data into a visual table layout and prints that layout onto a PDF canvas. It automatically handles page breaks and orientation to ensure your wide data tables fit neatly onto standard pages.

How to Convert Excel to PDF

  1. Upload: Drag your Excel (.xlsx or .xls) file into the upload box.
  2. Preview: See a quick preview of your data table right in the browser.
  3. Convert: Click "Download PDF" to generate the document.
  4. Save: The PDF file is instantly saved to your device.

When to use this tool?

Is my data safe?

Yes, absolutely. Financial and data sheets often contain sensitive information. Unlike server-based converters, PDFPlug processes your Excel file purely within your web browser using JavaScript libraries. Your data is never uploaded to the cloud.

Free vs Premium

Free Version: Unlimited conversions for standard spreadsheets.
Premium Version: (Future) Support for multi-sheet workbooks (converting all tabs at once) and complex chart rendering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will formulas still work in the PDF?

No. A PDF is a static document. The tool captures the *result* (value) of the formula at the time of conversion, not the formula itself.

Does it support multiple sheets?

Currently, the tool converts the first active sheet of your workbook. Support for selecting or merging multiple sheets is coming soon.

My table is cut off. Why?

PDF pages are standard A4 size. If your spreadsheet is extremely wide (lots of columns), it might be scaled down or cut off. Try removing unused columns in Excel before uploading.
